A letter from Judy Mullin

Hi CCA - it's really good of you to want to put Keith on the website. He does have this certain "camera" smile that he puts on - it's funny isn't it?

Keith has autism, mental retardation, diabetes and other health issues. He is in a wheelchair because of many daily drop seizures daily which put him at great risk of falling. In January of this year he was diagnosed with AML, an aggressive form of leukemia. I was actually in India visiting our Indian pastor and his family and doing some work for the orphanage when I got the news. Of course I changed my ticket and came right back home. He was in the hospital at Memorial for six weeks and underwent a course of chemtherapy. The oncologist told us that he wanted to give Keith one chance at remission but people very rarely live more than a few months with this condition. He was leukemia-free when he came out of the hospital but the doctor expects it to come back. He is not a candidate for more chemo because of his condition and the doctor says it really won't help, just make him sick and miserable.

He goes twice a month for blood counts, and the counts had been steadily falling since he came home from the hospital. The doctor strongly suspected a recurrence and ordered a bone marrow biopsy (his fourth one) to know for sure. He was very surprised when the biopsy came back negative, and since that time his blood counts have stopped falling. We are believing that God has performed a miracle - the biopsy was given right after you all prayed for him up front that Sunday.

He is in God's hands and we know that if He does take Keith home he will be perfect in heaven.
